Connect your child's phone or tablet

You connect your child's phone or tablet by scanning a QR code from your app with its camera. You do it only once, and then your child signs in on their own.

Steps

  1. Right after adding your child, click Connect a device. Later, in Settings › Family, open Devices for your child, click Add and then Create QR code.

  2. Scan the QR code with the camera of your child's device and open the link it offers.

  • A code from Settings is valid for 5 minutes and works once. When it expires, create a new one. During first setup, the code refreshes on its own.

  • The other adults get a notification. If a device you don't know about gets connected, on the web you revoke it under your child's Devices. In the iPhone app, you sign it out in Nastavení › Signed in devices.

  • No camera

    Next to the QR code in your child's Devices there's also a link. Copy it and open it on your child's device, it works the same as scanning.

If something doesn't work

JARVIS isn't on the device yet.
After the scan, an iPhone offers the download from the App Store, scan the code again after installing. An iPad or Android device usually connects right in the browser, and then your child adds JARVIS to the home screen.
JARVIS is already on the device.
Your child clicks I am a kid (on the web, Sign in for kids) and signs in with their nickname and PIN.
Connecting doesn't finish.
Check that your child's device is online and that you scanned with its camera.
