Notifications and quiet hours
Notifications tell you that your child sent something and it's waiting for approval. Each person turns them on for themselves, and quiet hours keep the night quiet for the whole family.
Who gets what
You: what's waiting for approval, a summary of overnight deductions around 7 AM, news about days in a row, a reminder when your child hasn't connected yet, a kept promise to confirm and a goal saved up for. A new device of your child and a new badge go to the other adults, not to the one who connected the device or approved the item.
Your child: your decision, including an undone approval, a reward handed over, new badges, a goal saved up for, a chore reminder, a notice that their flame is burning today, and a Done earlier confirmation with the coins.
Your phone fills in the item's name
In the iPhone app, the notification also shows the item's name. The server leaves it out, your phone adds it from the data stored in the app.
How to set them up
Set notifications and quiet hours in Settings › Notifications.
In the same place, under Tests and diagnostics, send a test notification to yourself or to your child's device.
Quiet hours are off for a new family. Once on, they run from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM until you change them, in the family's time zone.
